Collection: JauntWraps

Johanna Barnet, the artist behind JauntWraps, is newly based out of the Richmond area. She creates unique, wearable artwork meant to emphasize the importance of self-expression and individuality. 

She combines her passions for both science and art to create wire-wrapped and electroformed jewelry. Each wire-wrapped piece is meticulously handcrafted by twisting and weaving pieces of wire together to create patterns around natural gemstones. Her other main medium, electroforming, is a very complex chemical process that involves bonding copper onto other components. 

She often incorporates different elements of nature into her work, such as gemstones, natural metals, insects and foliage. While her favorite things to make are big, extravagant statement pieces, she also creates a variety of jewelry to fit anyone’s style.
