Carol, Renegade Weaver

I have worked with fiber arts in one form or another for many years - sewing, knitting, embroidery, latch hook, counted cross-stitching, and felting.

A few years ago, I began weaving on various small looms and peg looms, making mainly one-of-a-kind wall hangings, small items, rugs.

At the same time, I learned to spin wool into yarn, loving art yarn. A recently added free-style floor loom has enabled me to create larger one-of-a-kind items, including scarves, pillows and table runners.

I weave chair seats, baskets, almost anything with a grid or frame. And I'm still dreaming of projects!

I love the freedom of choosing colors, techniques, stitches and textures, using yarns of varied types and materials, upcycled materials, and unexpected embellishments. All of my work is one-of-a-kind and not reproducible.
